Have you ever looked at a church steeple and though it looked a bit like a rocket ship ready to launch into the heavens? Once the F-Bomb was finished, it seemed like a great opportunity to follow up with another religious/technology themed piece. It’s the same size as F-Bomb so the two sculptures could be shown side-by-side. 3 months to finish this one off. Most of the main structure is based on one of Notre Dame’s North tower. The pointy top bit is actually based on 1850ish drawings of what the cathedral was meant to look like. Playing with a bit of colour again and tens of thousands of small bricks of course. The rocket nozzles are made of silver wrapping paper. Lot of fun making those!
